Notice of Formulation Change: Less Vitamin E in Male Fertility Supplement

MFSAs an industry leader and developer of the World’ Best-Selling Male Fertility Supplement (“MFS”), Coast Science constantly reviews the latest research regarding the ingredients in our nutraceuticals to ensure they are safe, effective, and necessary. A recent study published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute concerning Vitamin E and Selenium supplementation has received considerable attention in the media. The study aimed to “determine the long-term effect of vitamin E and selenium on risk of prostate cancer in relatively healthy men.” It included, in part, men between the ages of 50-55 who were administered 400 IUs of Vitamin E every day for between 7-12 years. The researchers ultimately concluded the men had an increased risk of developing prostate cancer.*

There are several distinctive facets of the study that should cause no concern for users of our Male Fertility Supplement. Namely, our users typically are significantly younger than 50 – of reproductive age – and take MFS for only between 3-6 months (nowhere close to 7 years). Nevertheless, in an overabundance of caution, we are going to reduce the amount of Vitamin E in MFS from 400 IU per serving to 40 IU, an amount that still is 133% of the recommended daily value.*

We firmly believe this change will not impact the efficacy of MFS, given the other potent, high-quality ingredients in the formulation. To read more regarding the study
