Bruce J. Thomsen
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Thomsen has been involved in reproductive healthcare for over 20 years. He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Coast Science, LLC and Coast Reproductive, Inc. leaders in reproductive and urological healthcare specializing in services, supplies, consulting and new technologies for fertility specialists, urologists and their patients. Coast Reproductive has helped over 30,000 patients worldwide conceive the miracle of life through its novel nutritional science technologies. Prior to Coast Reproductive, Mr. Thomsen was the President and CEO of Ceres Fertility, Inc. from 2001-2004. Ceres Fertility specialized in rapid diagnostics for reproductive healthcare professionals, as well as cutting edge products for use in the laboratory. Mr. Thomsen was responsible for the FDA 510k approval of three products during his time with Ceres, including the OvuSure Ovulation Predictor. He was able to create distribution centers throughout North America and South America that served 400 healthcare centers.
Mr. Thomsen served in managerial roles with Quidel Corporation and its related companies from 1988-1993 and from 1995-2001 with Conception Technologies. Mr. Thomsen increased overall efficiency in Chemistry Manufacturing, Operations and Product Improvement. In 1995, Mr. Thomsen was placed in Sales Management to lead a team focused on fertility products that included rapid diagnostics and media products for IVF Laboratories. Mr. Thomsen was responsible for growth that exceeded 500% during his tenure. From 1993-1994, Mr. Thomsen was employed by Hycor BioMedical, an Alligent Technologies Company. He was specifically contracted to move their entire East Coast facility to the West Coast. He oversaw the Research and Development, Biochemistry and Operations Department. Implementation of the new facility and operations were complete in 1994.
Mr. Thomsen is an active member and corporate partner of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the European Society for Human Reproduction and Endocrinology, the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society, the American Urological Association, and the British Fertility Society. Through his leadership, the Traveling Scholars Program for the Society for Male Reproduction and Urology, as well as the Nursing Fellowship Fund for the Society for the Study of Male Reproduction, were established. He is dedicated to helping families lead healthy lives through nutritional science.
Fred Ritterman
Chief Business Officer - Business Development
Fred Ritterman has served as Coast’s Chief Business Officer since 2001, and
is responsible for corporate strategy, planning, marketing and financing.
As the founder of the
San Diego Strategic Planning Group, his clients included firms in the
pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and diagnostics markets. He has held the positions of Vice President, Marketing and
Operations for the BTX Division of Genetronics and Director, Business
Development for Wood Mackenzie’s Life Sciences Consulting Group. In addition,
Mr. Ritterman was responsible for New Product Planning and Development and
Marketing Services at Behring Diagnostics, and New Product Development for Dade
Diagnostics. Mr. Ritterman has a broad general business background with strong
experience in new product/business planning and market research. He has
extensive knowledge of business development, market planning, product
management and distribution. Mr. Ritterman holds an MBA in Marketing from the
University of Miami and a BA in Mathematics from the University of South
Florida.
Nancy L. Lombard
Director of Operations – Client Services
Ms.
Lombard has over 15 years experience in Human Resource and Operations
Management. She oversees Coast’s
Client Services and Distribution Center.
Ms. Lombard’s focus
is to quickly acclimate to today’s changing business environment and implement
procedure to the operations with minimal strain to company culture. She is a
proactive part of the management team setting standards for fiscal reporting
and developing company practice and protocols. Ms. Lombard manages day-to-day
business operations, supervises the office staff and finds ways to make the
company work smarter and more efficient. She stimulates positive energy,
creativity and teamwork among employees.
Nancy M. Williams
National Nursing Advisor
Nancy Williams is Coast Reproductive’s National Nursing Advisor and Southeast Sales Manager. She has been a member of the Coast Team since 2008.
Nancy has been a nurse for more than 23 years with the past 18 years specializing in infertility. Her experience includes New Born Nursery, Neonatal ICU, Labor and Delivery and as a Recovery Room Nurse for post procedure IVF. Also, she was the Nurse Manager for a GYN/Infertility office until she joined Coast. Her love of working closely with people and her vast experience made the transition to Coast an easy step in continuing her long career in the reproductive science field.
As Coast Reproductive’s National Nursing Advisor, her experience helps to provide information and education about our product line to physicians as well as to patients. Nancy believes that life should be lived to its fullest and through her dedication she hopes to make a difference in making family dreams come true.
